In 2021, hate crimes against Asians went up by 165% in the US. This fact spent months swirling around in my head, and it wasn't doing me any good. Lee Huang from Imortal Studios gave a lecture for my international innovation group, and at the end he said that he was doing something for AAPI. I hit him up on LinkedIn and asked one simple question.
I started by doing some logo art for AAPI heros. You can see the frist pass above.
Do you know anything about video?
The schedule was for 7-hours of live production using OBS, Zoom, and thankfully some canned videos. I got to work on the canned videos, while the good folk at WizardWorld took the help for the live production. I was promoted to backup, trust me for a 7-hour live show, back-up is the better seat.
Do good work.
I also designed the frame for the live show, and made some content to break up the show, wich was fun. I've got opinions, but this isn't my show. My job was just to work hard and agree to changes. Besides, I was working with the team and I've got a lot of faith in Lee.
